Measurement, Classification, and Testing Severity Levels of Traffic Accidents in the Hashemite Kingdom Governorates

Abstract :
The objective of this study is the measurement, classification, and testing severity levels of traffic accidents in the Hashemite Kingdom Governorates. The study employed the descriptive approach to achieve its goals, where data were collected and analyzed using severity rate and sum of rank index. According to the results the kingdom governorates were classified into three levels of severity. The classification results were examined using the one way ANOVA test. The study concluded that significance variation exists between the kingdom governorates in the rate and severity level of traffic accidents, in addition to indicate that the sum of rank index in collecting traffic accidents severity levels is more precise and objective in presenting the real objective image for the actual severity levels.
