1.1 Preamble
Geomorphological studies using remote sensing and GIS techniques of Rasyan Valley Basin (RVB) in the Republic of Yemen has been dealt with using physical studies representing the composition of rocks (lithological and structure), climate ( rainfall, temperature, humidity, wind and evaporation ). Physical characteristic of the soil is an effective factor in the RVB, vegetation and NDVI, (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index), and distribution of the vegetation in Rasyan Valley Basin which has been considered in the geomorphological studies, since the relationship between geological processing and the type of vegetation seems to be key factor.
Geomorphological studies involving morphometric analysis (stream order, stream length, stream length ratio, basin length, width, and perimeter, form factor, elongation ratio, circularity ratio, drainage density, drainage texture, bifurcation ratio, relief ratio, gradient ratio) show development of network river of Rasyan Valley Basin, which in turn affects the geomorphological processing and units (mountains, plateaus, hills, plains etc) of RVB which represent ultimate result of geomorphological processing, differential erosion and various kinds which are based on the relationship between the lithology, structure, climate, soil, vegetation, the morphometric analysis, of geomorphological units and water harvesting system of the Rasyan Valley Basin.
This study will deals with all results, which have been conceded through research of Rasyan Valley Basin.
