تضمنت محتويات الدراسة خمسة فصول تسبقها مقدمة ويعقبها خاتمة، ويتناول الفصل الأول أساسيات الخريطة الطبوغرافية ومقارنتها بالخرائط الطبوغرافية العربية والأجنبية، أما الفصل الثانى فقد تناول مواصفات دقة الخرائط الطبوغرافية والتقنيات المستخدمة في جمع البيانات ومراحل تحديث الخرائط الطبوغرافية باستخدام إمكانات برامج نظم المعلومات الجغرافية والاستشعار عن بعد، ويتناول الفصل الثالث التعميم الكارتوجرافي للخرائط الطبوغرافية لمركز المنيا مقياس 1: 25000 ، أما الفصل الرابع تناول تحميل الظاهرات الطبيعية من الخريطة الطبوغرافية لمركز المنيا ، بينما تناول الفصل الخامس تحميل الظاهرات البشرية من الخريطة الطبوغرافية لمركز المنيا ، وانتهت الدراسة بالخاتمة وما تحتويه من النتائج والتوصيات .

Abstract
Recent developments in GIS and remote sensing programs have led to rapid progress in the design and production of maps in general and topographic maps in particular, Where traditional methods of design and production have become methods of the past, It was replaced by the digital way of collecting, inputting, processing and outputting data, This great potential has been employed in the production, updating and analysis of Egyptian topographic maps by applying of Minya district, Where the topographic maps of Minya district were updated using modern satellite imagery, And the review of the topographic maps of Egypt in terms of cartography to determine the extent of contact between them and the reader map, And analysis of maps updated from the natural and human sides and the production of a large collection of maps serving the community and specialized studies in various fields , The study consists of five chapters preceded by an introduction and followed by a conclusion :
The introduction included locating the study area, The reasons for selecting the subject and the objectives of the study , In addition to the curriculum and methods, And the difficulties faced by the student during the field study, as well as the sources relied upon by the student in the study and finally the contents of the study.
The first chapter dealt with the basics of the Egyptian topographic map, in which the student dealt with the basics of the typographical map and the differences between them and the basics of the other maps and compared them with the fundamentals of the Arab and foreign topographic maps.
The second chapter dealt with the production and updating of the digital topographic maps of Minya district, The researcher deals with the specifications of the accuracy of the topographic maps and the techniques used in obtaining the data, And the extent to which phenomena can be interpreted from satellite images, The stages of the production of maps from the Egyptian survey bodies, and the steps to update the topographic maps of of Minya district using satellite images and GIS programs.
The third chapter deals with generalization Cartography of topographic maps of the Minya district Scale 1:25000, In which the student addresses the concept of cartographic generalization and its importance and the factors affecting it and its types, And the application of the cartographic generalization on the topographic maps that have been updated to Minya district scale 1:25000, To produce a single topographical map for Minya district scale 1:50000 using the rules of circular cartography.
The fourth chapter presents an analysis of the natural phenomena of Minya district, the student dealt with the structural characteristics of Minya district with its different elements, Geomorphological characteristics of Minya district, and the morphometric characteristics of the valleys east of Minya district.
the fifth chapter deals with the analysis of human phenomena from the topography of Minya district, Emphasis has been placed on the phenomenon of urbanization because it is the most important phenomenon in the topographic map, In this chapter, the student dealt with the distribution of urban centers in Minya district and the density of urban centers , Quantitative analysis of the distributive image of the urban areas, as well as a presentation of the classification of the urban areas and the factors affecting the urbanization of the topography of Minya district.
The study ended with a summary of the main Results and recommendations of the study.

Summary
The contents of the study included five chapters preceded by an introduction followed by a conclusion, The first chapter deals with the basics of the topographic map and compares it with the Arab and foreign topographic maps, The second chapter dealt with topographic maps and techniques used in the accuracy of data collection and specification phases of updated topographic maps using the potential of GIS and remote sensing programs, Chapter 3 deals with the cartography of the topographic maps Minya district measuring 1:25000, Chapter 4 deals with the analysis of natural phenomena from the topography of Minya district, Chapter 5 deals with the analysis of human phenomena from the topography Minya district, The study ended with a summary of the main Results and recommendations of the study.
