The problem and the importance of research: Influenced by the contribution of the labour force in economic activity by several factors including the age structure and gender, educational status and sufficiency of the requirements of the labour market, as well as the marital status and age at work or out of it, so it was important to study these factors.
Research objectives: Search targeted primarily to study the factors affecting the contribution of the labour force in Damietta governorate of Egypt Arabic, and to achieve this goal, the following objectives were accomplished:
1. Study years overall economic activity.
2. Study of factors influencing the contribution of the labour force, these include the following: Age structure, Qualitative composition, Educational status, Marital status.
Search results:
1. Study shows superiority of males over females in all age groups in the rate of economic activity, to exceed genre 509.6% in 2006, as noted the low rate of economic activity for the age group of 15 to 20 years for both males and females due to the State of education in recent years.
2. It turns out that measuring the relationship between the median age of the labour force were male and young dependency ratio in areas northeast of the study area, it was found that there is inversely with the confidence of 99% found that the areas northeast of the study area is greater than the median age of male labour force average of total study area (29 years), and at the same time as the dependency ratio of the average age of the study area (48.5%)..
3. The study also found that type of study area labor force amounted to 104% in 2006, rose to 509.6% in 2006, due to the high proportion of the contribution of male labour force (82.6%) In 2006, in addition to increasing the turnout of female education guide high median age of women compared to men, with 31.5, 32.9 years for males and females respectively in 2006.
4. The proportion of illiterate male workforce as we head south of the study area to the North, where the rate of the economic activity of the illiterate in Damietta, Kafr Saad, as the proportion of illiterate male workforce as we head west of the study area to the North-East, where the rule of the initial activities, where the high rate of young people in the northeast of the study area showed that illiterate people are less aware and thus have higher fertility rates, when measuring the relationship Among the illiterate of the labour force and the rate of support young people found a substantial relationship (+ 0.04) when the confidence level 0.01, as for the academics of the work force, it notes that the areas East and West of the study area increased dependency rate is the same as the percentage of male undergraduates, suggesting that higher education reflected the low dependency rates for the young and the moral level of 0.01.
5. For females, the proportion of women whenever we head west of the study area to the East, likewise increasing the range of alamralosit with more West to East.
Study recommendations:
The study found a number of recommendations to the Directorate of manpower in Damietta governorate in particular, and the Ministry of manpower of the Republic of Egypt Arabic in General, the study recommended that the Ministry of employment in Damietta governorate through the introduction of universal training teams for the transfer of experience in the industry, and how to use modern machinery and technology in manufacturing to keep pace with the global method in various economic activities, To create competitive advantage for the products and the Ministry take all measures to reduce the emigration of skilled labour through examining the reasons behind it, through excellence in education, and provide reasons for the economic welfare of the County employment, in addition to employment should be directed towards small-scale industries, and dissemination centers for training, They need for a workforce more than capital, thus reducing the problem of unemployment in the province, as well as criminalization and punishment on those who, and contribute to the employment of children under the age of 15, in addition to urging labour to transfer training to learn the new character commensurate with their qualifications so that there is flexibility in learning the craft, the Ministry should also emphasize licensing of workers to engage in trades and professions.
