Summary
This thesis includes the geographic population issue under the title " The Geographical Distribution of Population According to Educational Status and Its Effect on The Human Development in Ethiopia". A study in the population geography. Ethiopia is one of the Eastern country of Africa, between the two longitudes (30 0, 3: 18 North), and between the longitude latitudes (4 , 33 0: 48 East). It was one of landlocked countries after Eretria independence on 1993. The study area administratively is classified into nine regions and two cities, (Dair Edwa, Addis Ababa).
The study includes the historical approach in tracing the education development in Ethiopia using descriptive and analytical methodologies, also hired with some methods, quantitative method to represent data used in the study, depending upon SPSS, and Excel programs. Also, the study used Cartography method to represent the statistical data, maps direction, and graphs. The thesis includes four chapters, an introduction, and Summery as well as an, Arabic and English references. The thesis includes 209pages, 55 tables, 88 figures, a brief of the study chapters, as follows:
Chapter One: The General features of population in Ethiopia, has focused on the population growth rate in Ethiopia, then the study of the population distribution, and population density, a study of gender and age structures of Ethiopian population.
Chapter Two: Includes the educational system in Ethiopia, net and gross enrolment of the various education stages. Also, the chapter deals with pupils to teachers ratio, average of number of pupils for each school, finally indicator of parity of variety educational stages.
Chapter Three: It showes the geographical distribution of average and rates of illiteracy then the age and qualitative of geographical distribution of the illiteracy average, as well as, The Study of the Geographical Distribution of Educated People on the level of Ethiopia Territories in 2007.
Chapter Four: Includes the Education and human development in the Republic of Ethiopia, the reports related to human development, the health guide, education guide and income guide, then the value of human development guide in Ethiopia, education and how it affects human development, Finally Future of Education in Ethiopia.
Conclusion of Research: The conclusion has argued the most important findings of the study, in addition to suggestion a group of recommendations which may help in solving of trammels of education in Ethiopia.
