Theoretical & Applied Mechanisms for Geographical Field Study

Abstract :
This research aims at pinpointing some defects of the field curricula and showing the most prominent obstacles that prevent development of field geographical work after showing its position within most of geographical departments in K.S.A.
I investigated the best programs of field geographical training through a survey on (153) students. They were given the field study program as a tool to know weak & strong points of field study programs.
The study tendencies concluded toward field work were not similar particularly when the geomorphologic specialization preceded the natural geography branches and when population studies preceded the human geographical branches.
The study, also, emphasized the importance of teaching the field study at early stage of the university study for a number of reasons. The most important of which is to prepare students for the class research.
Among field work, the surveys came on top (29.8%) and they defined some methods & mechanisms that can develop the geographical field studies.
