وحماية المزروعات والحد من التلوث

الملخص
تؤدي نخلة التمر دوراً مهماً في تلطيف الهواء وتنقيته من ذرات الغبار، إضافةً إلى إغنائه بغاز الأوكسجين.
أشارت الدراسات أن أوراق نخيل التمر تجمع كميات غير قليلة من الأتربة تختلف حسب القرب والبعد عن الطرق. حيث بلغت كمية الغبر المتراكمة على سطوح أوراق النخيل قرابة 0.47 و 0.78 غ/ سم2 في الأشجار القريبة ( 10 و 40 م ) من الطرق الزراعية غير المعبدة على التوالي. واختلفت أيضاً كمية الغبار المتراكمة باختلاف أشهر السنة، حيث بلغت أعلى كمية من الغبار المتساقط شهري تموز وآب( 6.90 و 6.46 غ/ م2/ شهر على التوالي) في منطقة خلال البصرة.
توفر أيضاً أشجار النخيل الحماية للعديد من أشجار الفاكهة، والمحاصيل التي تزرع تحتها. كما أنها تعد وسيلة جيدة لتقليل تراكيز الهيدروكربونات النفطية، والحد من التلوث، حيث اختلفت تراكيز هذه المركبات حسب موقع الدراسة من مصادر التلوث، وحسب الأصناف المدروسة. لوحظت علاقة ارتباط موجبة وقوية (r = 0.98 ) بين تراكيز الهيدروكربونات ومحتوى الأوراق من المواد الدهنية.

The Role of Date palm Tree in the Air – conditioning of Atmosphere Protection of Vegetation and Pollution Control

Abstract :
Date palm tree plays a pivotal role in the conditioning of atmosphere and purification of air from dust particles, in addition to its enrichment with O2 molecules.
Studies indicated that the leaves of Date palm trees can accumulate substantial quantities of dust, varying based on the distance from the unpaved roads, and the months of the year.
The total estimated amount of dust particles accumulated on the leaf surface was 0.47 and 0.78 g .cm-2 in the trees, which were closer (10 and 40 m) to the roads. The highest quantities of accumulated dust particles (6.90 and 6.46 g. m -2. month -1) were during the months of July and August in AL- Basra region. Date palm trees also protect crops and fruit trees, which are planted beneath them.
Palm tree is also considered as a good means for reducing the level of oil hydrocarbons, and controlling of air pollution. A positive, correlation (r = 0.98) was found between the concentration of hydrocarbons and the content of leaves of fatty substances, which varied depending on the distance from the site of experiment, source of pollution, and varieties.
