ملخص رسالة دكتوراه، وموضوعها التركيب الاقتصادي للسكان بمحافظة الدقهلية، دراسة في جغرافية السكان.
تهدف الدراسة إلى التعرف على تطور حجم قوة العمل ونموها وتوزيعها الجغرافي في محافظة الدقهلية وتحليل أهم مؤشراتها وخصائصها الديموغرافية والاقتصادية وتوقع حجمها المستقبلي.
وتشمل الرسالة ستة فصول يسبقهم مقدمة ويعقبهم خاتمة تضم أهم نتائج الرسالة وتوصياتها، وقد جاء ترتيب فصول الرسالة على النحو الآتي:
الفصل الأول: ويتناول دراسة تطور حجم قوة العمل ونموها في محافظة الدقهلية ومراكزها، ويشمل نمو قوة العمل حسب النوع ومحل الإقامة، ويبين العلاقة بين معدل النمو السنوي لقوة العمل ومعدل نمو السكان.
الفصل الثاني: ويدرس التوزيع الجغرافي لقوة العمل في محافظة الدقهلية، ومؤشرات التقييم الجغرافي لتوزيع السكان ذوي النشاط الاقتصادي وكثافتهم، وكذا نسبة تركز قوة العمل، ومنحنى لورنز، ومركز ثقل قوة العمل.
الفصل الثالث : ويتضمن دراسة مؤشرات التركيب الاقتصادي لقوة العمل في محافظة الدقهلية، من خلال دراسة تطور معدل النشاط الاقتصادي الخام والمنقح لسكان المحافظة، ومعدل النشاط الاقتصادي حسب النوع وفئات السن، وسنوات النشاط الاقتصادي الإجمالية، ومعدل الإعالة الاقتصادية.
الفصل الرابع: ويتناول دراسة الخصائص الديموغرافية لقوة العمل في محافظة الدقهلية، وتتمثل في التركيب النوعي والعمري لقوة العمل، والحالة التعليمية لقوة العمل، والحالة الزواجية لقوة العمل.
الفصل الخامس: ويشمل دراسة الخصائص الاقتصادية لقوة العمل في محافظة الدقهلية، وتتمثل في توزيع قوة العمل حسب أقسام النشاط الاقتصادي، والحالة المهنية لقوة العمل، والحالة العملية لقوة العمل.
الفصل السادس: ويدرس مستقبل السكان وقوة العمل في محافظة الدقهلية ، وتقدير الاحتياجات المستقبلية من فرص العمل، وتقدير الاحتياجات المستقبلية من المدرسين والمدارس، والأطباء، وهيئة التمريض.
وقد أبرزت الدراسة أن المجتمع الدقهلاوي لم يصل بعد إلى مرحلة التشغيل الكامل لموارده البشرية، ويرجع ذلك لعدم حدوث تغيرات جوهرية في هيكل توزيع قوة العمل على قطاعات النشاط الاقتصادي المختلفة في المحافظة، ويمكن الحكم على مدى التقدم والرقي في خصائص السكان الاقتصادية من خلال نسبة العاملين في الصناعة فقد بلغت ٨,٨٣ ٪ في عام ١٩٧٦ ارتفعت إلى ٩,٧٤ ٪ في عام ٢٠٠٦ ، وهذا يشير إلى تدني خصائص قوة العمل الاقتصادية في المحافظة، ويمكن القول أن التأثير الأساسي للتحول الاقتصادي في المحافظة يتمثل في حدوث تغير سلبي في الأنشطة الأولية، فقد انخفضت نسبة العاملين بها من ٥٧,١ ٪ في عام ١٩٧٦ إلى ٣٠,٥ ٪ في عام ٢٠٠٦ ، بينما شهدت الأنشطة الإنتاجية (الثانوية) تزايداً طفيفًا، في حين شهدت الأنشطة الثلاثية تزايداً مستمراً في نسبة العاملين بها فقد بلغت نسبتها ٣١,١ ٪ في عام ١٩٧٦ ارتفعت إلى ٤٩ ٪ في عام ٢٠٠٦ ، ومن المعروف أن تلك الأنشطة غير منتجة لكونها تخدم متطلبات السكان ولا تخدم متطلبات التنمية، وهذا يعني أن السياسة التنموية في المحافظة لم تؤد إلى تحديث قطاعات الإنتاج التقليدية، بينما استمرت في سياسة التحديث في قطاعات الصناعة التحويلية بصورة جزئية، وهذا لا يتفق مع المنظومة المنطقية للتطور الاقتصادي والاجتماعي.

Summary of Ph.D. Thesis Under The Title The Economic Structure of the Population in Dakahleyia Governorate: "A study in Geography of Population”.
This thesis aims to define the temporal evolution, growth and spatial distribution of the labor force in Dakahleyia Governorate. It also endeavors to analyze demographic and economic indicators and characteristics of Labor Force and their future projections. The study includes six chapters, preceded by an introduction and followed by a preface in which conclusions and the recommendations.
The First chapter entitled The evolution of the labor force size and its growth in Dakahleyia Governorate. Moreover, It includes an assessment of the labor force growth on the basis of the gender and the place of accommodation. In addition to , the relation between the annual growth rate of the labor force and the population growth.
The Second chapter discussed the Geographical distribution of the labor force in Dakahleyia Governorate. It deals with Geographical Evolution distribution of active population and their densities. These indices include, The labor force concentration, Lorenz curve and The Center of labor gravity.
The Third chapter included the analysis of the indicators of the economic structure of the labor force It deals with a quantitative assessment of the evolution of the crude and the refined activity Rates, the age-sex specific activity Rate, the gross years of active life and the economic dependency ratio.
The Fourth chapter entitled the demographic characteristics of the labor force, such as the sex, age, educational and marital status of the labor force. Assiut University Faculty Of Arts Dept. of Geography Assiut University
The Fifth chapter includes The economic Characteristics of the labor force, including the distribution of the labor force, according to f the Economic Activities, Occupational structure and Employment structure. The Sixth chapter studied The future projections of the population and the labor force in Dakahleyia Governorate, It deals with the future job opportunities, with a particular focus on specific sectors (e.g. education and health). The Study refers to A community in Dakahleyia has not reached yet the stage of a full employment of its human resources. This due the absence of key changes in the distribution of labor force according to the different economic-activity sectors in the governorate. The improvement in the economic characteristics of the population can be clearly revealed in the ratio of people working in industry, which roughly increased from 8.83% in 1976 to 9.74% in 2006. This slight increase suggests a deterioration of the characteristics of Economic labor force in the governorate. In addition, the economic transformation has negatively impacted the primary activities in the governorate. Specifically, the percentage of people working in primary activities has decreased sharply from 57.1% in 1976 to 30.5% in 2006, in comparison to the secondary activities, which have slightly increased. On the other hand, the percentage of people working in tertiary activities has increased from 31.1% in 1976 to 49% in 2006. It is well-known that the latter activities are unproductive, given that it meets the population and not the development requirements. Taking all these results together, it is clear that the development policy in the governorate has not contributed satisfactorily to advance the traditional production sectors. It has rather given particular and much attention to the manufacturing industries: a behavior that does not agree will with the socioeconomic development frame.
