Abstract:
This study aimed to identify fundamentals of marine fishing in the Red Sea State, to identify the most important marine products in the study area, to elucidate the key areas of marine fishing, to identify the economic and social characteristics of fishermen and obstacles that hinder marine fishing in the area. The researcher applied; in this study, the comprehensive geographical methodology, which is concerned with all natural and human phenomena and studying reciprocal relations among it so as to interpret the results that he has reached, the descriptive methodology as well as the simple statistic techniques. The informatin and data were collected by different styles such as: direct observation, interviews, questionnaire, in addition to secondary resources represented in books, papers, reports and periodicals. The study revealed that there was weakness in fish production. This was ascribed to the conventional means used in marine fishing, weakness of investment in fisheries area, ineffective administration of fisheries due to lack of weak financial potentials and interruption of most of companies working in the area of fish production and manufacturing. It was figured out that fishes of coral reefs were the most consumed fishes and that the southern area was the most productive areas of fish in addition to that fish production increased in summer and reduced in winter in the area.
