المستخلص
تناول البحث دراسة الخصائص العامة للتربة والصخور ومناسيب المياه الجوفية والوضع الطبوغرافي وأثرها على تخطيط المشاريع الهندسية ودراسة السكان ومع بيان الحاجة المستقبلية للأرض. إضافة إلى دراسة الخصائص الفيزيائية للتربة من حيث مسامية ونفاذية ومحتوى الرطوبي للتربة وحد السيولة ودليل اللدونة ومستوى المياه الجوفية وأثرها على تخطيط المشاريع الهندسية، وكذلك دراسة الخصائص الكيميائية حيث تبين ارتفاع نسبة ايون الكبريتات ومحتوى التربة من الجبس والمادة العضوية والأملاح في بعض أجزاء منطقة الدراسة, إضافة الى دراسة قابلية تحمل التربة ,وان دراسة هذه الخصائص أمراً مهما في تخطيط المشاريع الهندسية.

Abstract
The research studies the general features of soil and rocks, the level of the sub-soil water, the topographic position and their effect on the planning of the geometrical projects and studying the population and the future need of land. Besides studying the physical features of soil in terms of water absorption, humidity, erosion and the level of the sub-soil water and their effect on the planning of the geometrical projects. In addition to studying the chemical features. It was made clear that the high ratio of sulphate ion and the soil content of gypsum, biotic materials and salts in some parts of the area of the study affects the planning of these projects. The research alsostudies the soil capability ofresistance. The study of these features is important in the planning of the geometrical projects.
