This study aims to analyze and study the strategic and geopolitical importance of the Central Asian region, which has heightened the international and regional competition for the resources of the region, especially energy resources, which has played and continues to constitute a centerpiece in the conflict between these forces, in order to answer the main question of study; what are the nature and dimensions of international and regional competition, that is the struggle in Central Asia is a conflict of interest between a set of forces that are trying to use the economic, political and military tools according to a specific strategy.
Researcher tried to review the competition between international powers of America, Russia, and China, and the regional ones of Iran, Turkey, and Israel toward the Central Asian countries. Note that there is a correlation affected positively and negatively with the severity of the conflict and the intensity of rivalry of big power to control the region, and the political and economic stability enjoyed by these countries. This is directly reflected on the achievement of stability and security in the region, where the United States is working to limit the influence of Russia, while Russia cooperates with China and Iran to curb the U.S. influence and protect its interests in the region. This does not deny that Central Asian region were not just an arena for international competition, it was often an influencing actor, as the Central Asian countries has prompted some parties to enter the arena of competition, and the objection to the role of third parties. Those States have followed a foreign policy aims to achieve the economic development and political stability in the region, that is the encouragement of these countries to compete was in its best interest and attract foreign investment into its territory.
This study recommends Arab researchers need to conduct further studies and research on region of Central Asia in the next phase in light of the transformations taking place in the Arab region, due to the existence of common interests between the Arab countries and the countries of Central Asia.
