Summary
The study area is located on the northwestern coast of Egypt between Alexandria and Salloum. It overlooks the coast of the Mediterranean Sea between the head of the Roman flag and the head of Umm al-Rakham. It extends east from the head of the Roman flag to the north and ends at the tourist village of Miami at the mouth of Wadi al-Nghamish in the south. South of the line of water division of the dry valleys, which cut the surface of the Miocene Plateau (Marmarika) at a height of 150 meters, and from the east is a challenge to divide the waters of Wadi Umm Al-Rakham valley, and the area extends between the two showrooms 31 ° 13' 00 " _31 ° 24 ' 30 " north, and between linear length 26 ° 59 ' 40 "_27 ° 22' 30" east, and thus It covers an area of 572.69 km2, with a maximum extension of 24.5 km from north to south, with a maximum extension from east to west 38.5 km
This study was taken in six chapters of the introduction and followed Conclusion, and explained everywhere, and lessons, along the subject, and the objectives of the study, Approaches and methods of study, and finally the content of the study.
The first chapter deals with the study of geological characteristics and their impact on sustainable development. The study deals with the spatial distribution of geological formation and surface sediments from the Middle Miocene era until the Holocene era, which is predominantly limestone. The formation of the arches alone constitutes about one-third of the total area of the area. Limestone and limestone, followed by a study of the geological structure, which includes cracks, folds, joints and cracks, whose surface is affected by 47 cracks whose directions vary from place to place, although most of them take a general trend from the southwest to the northeast, The chapter concludes with the impact of those characteristics on sustainable development in the region.
The second chapter deals with the study of climatic characteristics and their impact on sustainable development. It deals with the characteristics of different climate elements such as heat, rain, humidity, wind, solar radiation, etc., and their impact on sustainable development activities. For each of these activities.
The third chapter deals with the study of the surface forms and their characteristics and their impact on sustainable development. The study dealt with the study of the structural characteristics of the twelve areas of the region, the fertilization and the rate of concentration and the geomorphological stage of the region. The chapter also examined the geomorphological forms and phenomena in the study area. It also presented some of the geomorphological hazards that impede sustainable development processes. For sustainable development from one location to another in accordance with the characteristics and manifestations of the surface.
The fifth chapter dealt with the study of slopes and their impact on sustainable development. The study dealt with the morphometric analysis of slope sectors and their morphometric characteristics in terms of the analysis of the regression angles and their frequency distribution and the analysis of the angles of the curves. By estimating their safety factor and their stability impact on sustainable development.
The sixth chapter dealt with the study of the biologic characteristics and their impact on sustainable development and the classification of soil according to the geomorphological units by conducting some laboratory analyzes, the chapter also presented the morphological, chemical, physical and biological characteristics of the soil and the study of the geomorphological hazards associated with them. In the study area.
Chapter Seven deals with the study of the characteristics of water resources and their impact on sustainable development. The chapter presented a presentation of water resources in the study area. He also focused on studying the characteristics of groundwater as the only permanent source of water in the region. _ Rate of conduct _ chemical properties) and assess their validity for sustainable development, and also addressed the problems faced by groundwater and sub-surface and methods of treatment.
At the end of the study, the conclusion which included the results reached by the student through the study came as a set of recommendations that could contribute to the sustainable development processes followed by the list of Arab and foreign references.
